Reflective Work Discussion Groups
My reflective work discussion groups are a trauma-centred, therapeutic space for professionals working with individuals, groups, and communities affected by trauma. Rooted in psychodynamic understanding, it supports practitioners in developing trauma-responsive and inclusive approaches to their work. While not a therapy group, reflective practice fosters professional and personal growth by providing a safe, confidential space to explore challenges, responses, and successes.
For Organisations
A Trauma-Centred, Therapeutic Space for Those Who Hold Space for Others
After over 20 years working with individuals and communities affected by trauma, I’ve learnt that “caring work” takes its toll, especially for professionals who have to navigate systems that harm. Practitioners are often expected to provide care and support in high-pressure environments while navigating their own emotional and psychological well-being. My Reflective Work Discussion Groups offers a dedicated space to process, replenish, and build resilience.
What I Offer
My Reflective Work Discussion Group sessions provide a trauma-centred, therapeutic space for practitioners to explore their experiences, emotional responses, and professional challenges in a structured yet supportive environment. These sessions are designed to:
Reduce burnout and secondary trauma
Strengthen professional boundaries and emotional resilience
Provide a space for self-reflection and growth
Improve decision-making and ethical practice
Foster a sense of community and mutual support
I offer sessions in a range of formats to suit individual and organisational needs:
One-to-One or Group Sessions – tailored to the needs of individuals, teams, or organisations
Session Lengths – available in 45-minute, 60-minute, or 90-minute formats
Flexible Delivery – available as a one-off session or a structured multi-session program
Recommended Commitment – for deeper impact, we typically recommend a minimum of 6–8 sessions
